Grading & Report Cards

West Briar Grading Policy

  • Grading Policy Grades must be updated weekly by the end of the day every Monday.
  • There will be a minimum of two grades awarded each week for each subject. The grades will reflect the components of the subject and content reflected in the curriculum.
  • Grading must be consistent with other members of the curriculum team and department, and the grading formula needs to be given to the students and their parents at the beginning of the school year.
  • Teachers must document re-teaching if 75% mastery is not met. If most of the students are not successful, there is a problem with instruction, NOT with the students. In this case, teachers are required to re-teach each unmastered content concept.

Report Cards

Report cards and Progress Reports will be sent home with students at the conclusion of every grading period. Distribution dates will be added ASAP.
