Grizzly Cheer Team
The West Briar Middle School Cheer Team is an exciting and inclusive program open to all 7th and 8th grade students. It offers a fantastic opportunity for students to develop teamwork, leadership, and school spirit through a combination of cheerleading, stunting, and dance. The program is designed not only for those with prior cheer experience but also for beginners, ensuring that every student can participate and grow at their own pace.
What the program offers:
- Skill Development: The team focuses on improving a variety of skills, such as cheers, chants, dance routines, stunts, and tumbling. This helps students build physical strength, flexibility, coordination, and confidence.
- Teamwork & Leadership: Cheerleading requires strong collaboration, and students learn to work together toward common goals. They also gain leadership experience by helping to guide younger teammates and supporting each other during practices and performances.
- School Spirit: The cheer team plays a key role in boosting school spirit at athletic events, pep rallies, and other school functions. They engage the crowd, lead chants, and help create a positive and energetic atmosphere.

- Competitions & Performances: The team may have the opportunity to participate in cheer competitions and showcase their skills at school events, providing students with a chance to perform in front of large audiences and gain performance experience.
